Africans seem to be meaner than the S.A. What kind did you buy?

Well I would mixed up the tank a little. Lots of people says that works. But we need more info. It might just be there not supposed to get along.

Need more info here. What size tank? What species is the new cichlid? Are you providing lots of places to hide in the tank for them?

I'd post the problem here: http://www.fishlore.com/fishforum/cichlids/ .. Allie visits that area often and I'd expect that you'll get lots of help from her and other members with lots of experience with cichlids.

You're welcome. If some of our cichlid owners, like Allie, confirm my advice then I think it would be worth trying. She's got lots of cichlids and knows them better than I do.

Hey Andre. I've not owned Zebra Cichlids, so I'd recommend posting a question in the Cichlid area. The one that you had in the tank first is viewing the tank as his territory and the new fish as an intruder. Sometimes taking the older fish out of the tank, rearranging the decor and acclimating the newer fish in. After the new fish has been in a hour or so, acclimate the older fish into the tank but be prepared to remove one if they show aggression. This is just general advice and might not work with zebra cichlids, so please post in that area to get the opinions of zebra cichlid owners.
