Ah the animal store, i got the ratty in my avatar from there.

I think if I do a compact flourescent and see what the temp is in the tank without a heater, or else we have really tiny heaters made to connect to the rena filter systems at petsmart.

Ah I have so much reading to do!!!

    aw so pretty.!

I only have one boy actually. I know we sell the hex 5 for err 39? or 29? Not sure... I will probably get it this weekend then. Do you think I should bother maybe making it a live planted tank? Or no. Simple five gallon. I'm excited.

Ah just read it. I've been tempted to get a hex 5 for awhile, now I actually think its necessary! I just changed my bettas water partially because I feel bad. I'm so glad I'm on here. I applied at old town today. I posted it somewhere lol

My 12 gal tank has one of those in-hood filters with a bio-wheel. I haven't any problems with it so I'm pretty happy. I have a bio wheel in all my HOB filters and love them. I've heard of other people having problems with theirs so I see where you're coming from. I'm just glad that mine are holding in there and giving me no problems.

I'm going to get a betta boy. I'll keep the peppered cories in the 10 gal for about a week before I get the betta so I'm thinking I'll get him some time next weekend. I'm sooooo excited!!

I really need to put some pics up of my tanks.

The tanks are going great! Sorry to hear about your 5 gal hex. It put you through a lot of stress cycling and now it's going through a mini cycle? It's got some nerve!!

My tanks are going great!! I just bought some skunk cory cats for my 29 gal (the one that gave me a pain in the backside) and I love them!! They've schooled together and they're just so amazing.

I think I caught the betta bug. I bought a 10 gal a few weeks ago and finally got around to cycling it. Bought 3 peppered cory cats and have them in my 12 gal until I'm ready to move them to the new tank and then comes the betta!! I put the tank in my grandma's room. She's been bugging me about putting fish in there for so long. Nobody in the house understands the cycling process so I just tell them the fish will come soon. haha

Has your tank gotten over the mini cycle? I think you need to sit it down and have a stern talk with it. haha
