Check out the video to see the whole room, but please note that I have now added two more tanks in the space that is left empty on the video. I will put a new vid up when I get time!
Thought I'd better post a couple of pics of the new tank, which is tank 14:

SUNNY WARM WEATHER IN ENGLAND!!! WTF! Theres sunny warm weather here in Florida! Or if you dont want to be in the US, The middle east is nice and warm and sunny, just look out for IED's!
Nothing wrong with the weather here! our spring was the warmest on record, with temps exceeding 70F in april! The UK is a great place to live, so long as you run a small car!
and at least I admit to having MTS, unlike some others who have it but won't admit they have! Lol On top of that, my setup is already starting to pay me back, and with the numbers of fish we have here, it'll all be free by the end of the year! Now who's jealous? (All my tanks, stands, equipment and fish, all paid for by the fish saying thank you!)
LOL.. it's not florida's weather, but it's a great country and we're in for a 2nd round of president hillary even though she already had her 8 years. :P
Thought it was about time my new arrivals got famous!
Picture 1 is my little family of Mollies. They are now about 3 weeks old. The second picture is the swordtails, which have just reached 10 days old, with a few of the younger guppies, who have found their way through the filter system into the other tank! (Nothings perfect)
I am so jealous of your being able to share pictures of your tanks. STILL don't have a digital camera...... With paying for weddings (hired the photographer), and trips to FL I just have to put it off for awhile more....
But I love your babies, I have a tank full of Sunset-Fire-Wagtail Platys, still approx 40 total between all offspring produced by one female. The male died, so she has had a small batch the last time, and I don't know if that will be all or not. I DO have 9 of her first young that are females, and would love to get the same sort of male for them!
Then I have 4 Rainbow Platys, in another tank. 3 of which are preg. females.......That tank should be full soon! These are so colorful, I think they are my prettiest fish! They are very light, tan/blue/cream/white body with a VIVID red band between body and tail, black tail and fins.....They brighten with good water quality and temperature....When I took a 3 day vacation they got cold, hungry and no filter - they washed out in color to some extent, but then perked right back up with no ill effects when the generator was turned back on.
Just like with you each tank is fun to decorate, and I would love to share with the rest of you, as I feel quite sure you are the only ones who truly care......
Do you have all the decorations in your new big tank yet? Take care, and maybe on our jaunts around the world we fish folks will have to keep you on the list of must see.......
I'm finding it difficult to get the village scene worked out. Finding the right ornaments that will all be in proportion isn't easy! I am going to start on the tunnels and caves using the DIY background method, and see if it works. If it does, the scene will continue into the 62 gallon through a tunnel (well, it will appear to, anyway)
I'm in no hurry with this one, and it must be right, or it won't work. The roads and street lights are in place, the pagoda is sat waiting for more houses at the moment, and the fish are growing rapidly. If it takes much longer to get the ornaments, there won't be any room for them! Lol.
I also still have to build the other column tank to sit on top and finish the lighting canopy. Still loads to do!
Do you ever worry about the paint, or other material the ornaments are made of? I just put two whimsical frogs in a tank, it worries me that they may cause problems if the paint has lead or something......After all these are my children!
I like to get things that are glass. One that I currently have is a paperweight. It is clear with a black lower half, and 4 colorful handpainted flowere with leaves! It looks in the tank like there are flowers blooming! Then on a trip to the Sea Life Center in Seward this spring I found the same sort of thing, solid glass with an object in the center which LOOKED like a jelly fish. I like anything that adds interest.......
Mostly I use natural though, then the one or two unique pieces really stand out!
You are the DYI man, what would you do for a chiller, I read a post yesterday on that subject, not posted in DYI though, Maybe you could share your thoughts on it in that forum thread. Really that is something I never forsee needing for my tanks, Maybe for me, but not the tanks.
Always. When buying ornaments, it is important to ensure that they are not able to polute the tank in any way. If they are ceramic then they are safe, as the colours are glazed and sealed when the pottery is fired. If they are hand painted, I tend to test them first by putting them in a bucket of water for a few days to see if any of the colours leach into the water. If nothing seems to have happened, then I will boil them for about ten minutes to make absolutely sure before they go into the tank.

we have been having a very lively discussion on the subject over the last couple of days here.
I stayed out of the topic for a long time, letting others have a go, but then FLbettacouple suggested that I might add something, so my ideas are there, close to the bottom. between a few of us, we are getting quite close to a workable system or two, one that uses the tank water and cools it, the other that cools the tank itself. take a look down the thread and see if anything catches your attention. If so, I am sure that we can adapt it for human cooling too!
