Is a Level Tank Critical??

is a level tank critical or is it just help

well..... a level tank isn't critical, but the water level and be noticeably slanted or spill easier. but if its not tilted, or just a lil off you should be fine.

I think it is critical as the water pressure of an unleveled tank can cause it to crack..............

Might not be critical at first, but like stated, it puts extra pressure on a certain area of the tank glass and it could crack over time. If not crack it could break silicone seals or bow the tank. Not to mention it has a better chance of falling over.

Hello. I agree that your tank should be as level as you can possibly get it. Your filter should also be level for it to work properly should you use the hang on back (HOB) design.

It partly depends on the size of the tank.
If two tanks; one 10g and one 100g, were both off by the same amount that increased the weight on the right wall by 1% of the weight of the water, the 10g tank would have an extra pound of pressure on the wall, while the 100g would have an extra ten pounds of pressure.
It's best for all tanks to be level, but if it's a large tank, you're much more likely to encounter problems than with a small tank.

i level it and now it has water in it and is ready to start cycling
