| 20 gallon planted tank Hey ready to add fish to my 20 gallon(not a new tank)! I just moved some stuff around to reaquascape. I plan to go for pure rocks in the background. Only two of the plants weren't from my 10 gallon but I left most of them in my 10 gallon but no worries, they will grow half tank in a month and several "branches" that can be replanted. I am leaving one with branches in my 10 gallon to see how it will look with "branches". Should I add fish?
(Sorry for bad image quality I am using the equivalent of a cell phone camera) |

Brian | Thanks! Like all my tanks(escept SW) It is still missing something(beside more plants), I wanted to make a blog and post weekly pics of my plant growth so you guys could see. It is amazing to me but I will give it two months to look with enough plants and if its not I am sending the plants to a plant correctional center so they don't grow as fast. Thats what they get for not growing fast enough. hehe jk but really I am expecting those plants to be really tall in two months. |

| Update: I added my German Blue Ram Cichild, the Guppy, and the Black neon tetra. The guppy is sort of stressed out but the others are having fun swimming and exploring. The black neon is playing in the filter current and the blue ram is just like always, hanging around. |

I hope your guppy feels better soon. Maybe a new guppy buddy would help? Mine like to be in at least pairs, if not little packs of 4-5.
I also really like the aquascaping you did. Looks natural. I like that look. |

The guppy is better now I think it was only a little shock from changing tanks. I acclimated them by adding water from the other tank little by little in a bucket with their tank water already in it. My Blue Ram looks much better under that lighting and so does the guppy. Maybe a new guppy buddy will help but I heard they get aggressive in small tanks.
I just added sand and then threw a few rock here and there, then added more sand, then more rocks, then I planted. I literally just threw rocks in there for the aquascape. Quote:

I want to start a plant growth thread for both of my tanks. I am going to add some bambbo to the aquascape so it looks cooler. You'll see.
I am glad you all support the idea of a blog for that. I actually though it was kind of weird but I will pm Mike. |

| Cool! I like how you made that big plant the centerpiece and I think the gourami is very pretty. I wish I could get one some day. |

| Yeah I love that plant too much I still made it the centerpiece even though my next addition deserves another thread because I did it with my 10 gallon too. It is the best thing I could do and it looks amazing. To the new thread making thing!
Note: I did it on my 10 gallon too so I will make a new thread. My best work on Freshwater Last edited by Time; September 13th, 2009 at 01:47 AM.
