Hey guys, haven't been on the forum in a while. Just got my new ADA tank that i have been waiting for. Here are some of the tanks specs.


Tank: ADA Mini-M
Lighting: 27w 6700k Desk Lamp
Heater: Petco 50w
Substrate: Eco Complete
Fauna: 9 Yellow Shrimp (1 Berried)
Flora: HC
Filter: Aqua Clear 10 Power Head

Awesome tank. Those are cool looking shrimp. What kind of shrimp are they?

Great tank! You should add more plants and maybe some java moss for your shrimps to enjoy and play around, it'll look beautiful! Keep us updated!

Thanks. They are Neocaridina heteropoda (Yellow Shrimp) . Basically Red Cherry Shrimp bred for this desired color. A second shrimp has become berried this morning, and I am buying shrimp from 2 other breeders to achieve genetic diversity. Hopefully I will have enough to start selling in the next couple months.

Peacemaker92- Thanks! I am still trying to decide what plants to add. I have some extra Java Moss but i dont see it fitting my aquascape. I am going to try to find some room for a little Pellia. Ill be sure to keep everyone updated.

Eiginh- Thank you. ADA does sell lamps, although i couldn't afford dropping a couple hundred dollars on a small light. The lamp I use is from Wal-mart, and I believe it costed me between 25-30 dollars.
