I would do it but I don't think I am going to do that. That is a great idea though. I would of done that, but I already bought the TSS. I wouldn't want to not use it. Then it would be a waist sense I bought it. Thanks for the idea!I will try it some other time when I get another tank.

Ok so this is an update. Its almost the day that I will be setting up the tank and I am very excited. I just went to the store and bought that Whisper filter. I have for it some bio modules and a sponge. I also bought a tube that the cory's can go through and a few other things. I am trying to also find so little nick nacks and some caves for the fish to go through. I want to make sure they have something to do.

Ya. I was wondering about what kind of things would the dwarf Gourmi's like to have to do in the tank?

You're totally right, they are more peaceful. I've checked into them after you posted the other day. They're actually a very pretty, peaceful fish.

If this helps (I know they're not the same, but they have close to the same temperament), my pearl gourami for some reason when she's not at the top of the tank, likes to check out the "caves" created by some of the decorations and her favorite seems to be the log cave.

Well Tomorrow is the day I get to set up the tank! I am so excited. The first fish going in is 5 of mare2009's beautiful, home bred platy's. I can't wait to see how everything is going to go.

I wont.lol. It might be a little late when I do though. I am having a kind of get together. But I will get it done as soon as I can. For platy's I am taking 2 orange platy's, 2 blue platy's, and 1 yellow twin bar platy. Mare2009 is my grandmother and her platy's are great.

I've seen some of her fry! She's got some good-looking fish! Congratulations and it's really good that you can get your fish from a "reliable source".

Ya she does. She has to many so she is trying to get rid of as many platy's as she can. She bring some to the fish store and I take some.

If I got 5 male platy's would they breed with my cory's, guppy's, gourami's, or neon tetras?

I don't think so The only thing I've ever heard of is platys and mollys interbreeding.
