| New Tropical Community Tank Here's what I was doing when Fishlore was down! I combined my two 29 gallon tanks into a 55. Pics attached. My rainbowfish really started coloring up after they had more space.
Anyone with an eye for designing-what can I use that is easy to "skirt" the stand so the wires don't show? |

| Thank you! She's going to be on in a few minutes to upload her photos as well! Unfortunately, they're on this computer. Wait until you see hers! Then you'll see why I decided not to do another 55 African Cichlid tank. I can't compete. |

| Hi your tank is amazing as for covering up, i have some experience with that. Take Some nice cloth or fabric, that you like. Cut the fabric so that its double the legth of the stand. Grab a piece of string and with a needle go through the whole length of the fabric in a straight line. once done so, pull the string so that it bulges the fabric. It will kinda look like the curtain bellow with all the ruffles in it. Cut the string and tie it so that it makes a knot and the fabric will not slip through it. Then once you have it all measured up you can glue gun it to the stand. If later on( years/months) you dont like it anymore, you can change the fabric. The glue gun cylicone will come off easily.
here's a pic of kinda what it would look like ruffled.( its the white one)
Sorry hehe my mom is an interior designer so i kinda know some things about that
oh and the curtains were made by my mom also. |

| Some wicker baskets will help hide the wires and store supplies |

| The tank looks "great". You could also use some velcro to attach the material to the tank. You can use something called Stitch Witch (it irons on) to make a hem on the bottom of the curtain. Have fun!

| I set up the 55 gallon, transferred most the water with the syphon, transferred the substrate and decorations from both tanks and then transferred the fish - I went fishing It was kinda fun! |

| Thank you lorabell! Everyone's much happier now. The cories look like they're racing from one side of the aquarium to another! They keep burning those kind of calories, I'll have to feed more to make sure they don't starve to death |

| Thanks.
I did a quick compatibility check on here first just in case I was missing something.
Thank goodness everyone gets along. If you combine tanks, let me know. I've got some great pointers to make it easier and less stressful for both the fish and us humans |
