I am on step one of my setup, letting the sand settle so I can put in the decorations. Its sitting half full now so the substrate can compact and such. It looks ugly now but I think the wait of a few days will make it worth the effort. I will also have to get the plants ordered but I will wait about a week. I will hopefully have it full of water, decorated, and have the hardware going on Saturday.

One really underestimates the amount of work setting up a 29 gallon tank when one only has experience with a 10. This thing is huge compared to my other one, but I will be able to get my breeding pair of Koi Swords, and another Liertail high fin red female sword.

Had to start over. The cloud was just not going away, I must not have rinsed the sand good enough. I am now in the process of slowly washing all the sand again and hoping for the best.

Yup, I weant from a 10 to a 29 myself. Its more work but so much more area to mess around with and decorate.

Its almost ready for pictures, prolly another day or so. That c220 filter is earning its keep . The water is clearing and soon all the decorations will be in full view. The sand substrated looks awesome though and I can't wait to see my loches and cory's playing in it. I will deffinately order my plants on Monday and get those going. Its strange but I don't really want anyone to see the cloudy tank.
