Figured it was time for an update. Sorry guys, work has been crazy the last few months and I have not had any time to take photos. I got home too late tonight to see the tank with all the lights on but you can get the idea. The dwarf sag has gone crazy and is taking over the tank... I trimmed back some of the taller plants to give the dwarf sag more room to grow.

I was just thinking of your tank the other day! The dwarf sag is doing great.
Thanks for the update I always looking forward to seeing your progress.
Do you have Otos or Corys with the Onyx sand? Anything you dont like about the sand?I was considering it for my 55 I picked up. Its between that and the normal black flourite.

Nate: I didn't end up using any of the black onyx sand. I swapped everything to the aquariumplants.com substrate and have 4 corys and 10 otos in the tank.

Thats right...I forgot.
Substrate decisions.....it's like watching tennis. Back and forth and back and forth. lol
I finally got my Co2 system but I havent set it up in my 20 as I am waiting to get the 55 together. I ended up going with a Sumo set up I got from the swap and shop at plantedtank.

Good choice...the sns on the plantedtank is awesome. I picked up 4 eheim 2213's, 2- 2215's, and a 2217 for next to nothing for my new shrimp project coming soon.

Well so far we have 8 tanks up and running for the "project". 60G, 55G, 2 - 20G, and 4 - 10G tanks. we currently have RCS, high grade CRS's, snowballs, and blue pearl shrimp. We are using all the 10G tanks to selectively breed the higher grade CRS's. We are running a canister filter on each tank so as to not have a "crash" if we were to use a central filtration system. The only issue was the Aquasoil Amazonia...it can get quite expensive to cover the bottom of all those tanks...8 - 9L bags to be exact and that stuff is not cheap...

Thanks everyone... I appreciate all the kind words.

Tony: The babies have grown a bit but I doubt they will ever be as big as their parents.

The grassy foreground plant is Dwarf Sagittaria (Sagittaria subulata). I started with 2 little plants about 4 months ago. Once it takes hold it really starts to spread.
