lol, yeah, i finally decided to stay away from wal-mart bettas as long as possible...i love to rescue them and give them good homes, but as long as people buy them they will continue to have them . but yes, i'm SO excited for mm's babies, they're absolutely wonderful!!!!

Those are really nice tanks! Which ones are the new kids going in? BTW, your red boy has a bubble nest the size of Texas in his tank right now lol

the girls are going in the 20 gallon with the greek column and the boy is going in the 10 gallon with the large piece of driftwood, that the balloon mollie is in right now. i'm probably going to change around the decoration in that 10 gallon though...i'm not a huge fan of the piece of slate that's in it right now and one or two of the plants, so we'll see what happens with that.

aww, i'm so excited!

Poor Billy... Sounds like Hermes. Hermes loves to eat his own tail too. It's awful. It gets shorter and shorter every day.

yeah, billy actually trims his to a very specific length, and when it starts to grow back he immediately trims it, but only back to what it was before. i love him to death but he drives me nuts!

honestly, i have absolutely no clue i can try and look around and see, but they were just sold to me as male guppies, lol. also, i actually got one of the three from a different store than the other two, so that could just be a pretty generic color combo or something.

Your Tanks are very nice Is that sand in them?I thought there was a problem with using sand with Betta's?

they do have sand, i bought it originally because i didn't know that it could possibly be harmful and because my gravel was horribly messy. i haven't had any problems with anyone eating it so far, or if they have eaten it then it hasn't caused them any problems that i've noticed. i watch to make sure no one eats it though. i've gotten lots of different opinions on it, so right now i think it would be more stressful for them for me to remove everyone and replace the substrate
