Beautiful tanks | honestly, i have absolutely no clue i can try and look around and see, but they were just sold to me as male guppies, lol. also, i actually got one of the three from a different store than the other two, so that could just be a pretty generic color combo or something. |

Your Tanks are very nice Is that sand in them?I thought there was a problem with using sand with betta's?

they do have sand, i bought it originally because i didn't know that it could possibly be harmful and because my gravel was horribly messy. i haven't had any problems with anyone eating it so far, or if they have eaten it then it hasn't caused them any problems that i've noticed. i watch to make sure no one eats it though. i've gotten lots of different opinions on it, so right now i think it would be more stressful for them for me to remove everyone and replace the substrate

thank you five of my new females i got from martinismommy and they're gorgeous!!! of the other two that i have, one was actually from wal mart (she didn't look like she does now when i got her) and the other was from an LFS near me (she also didn't look like that when i bought her ) a lot of times, even if you buy a female that you don't think is that pretty right then, given the right water conditions, correct size tank, filtration, heating, etc they will really flourish!

Your bettas are really pretty. I've never had one. I always feel so sorry for those little guys in the cups at wal-mart so I'm glad they end up in such a nice home.

I never knew bettas could look even better with a little care. i have always thought it was really evil to keep a fish in a cup. imagine if you had to live in your bathtub.

The tanks look great. I never really got the betta thing down. I am more of a community fish guy. Though seeing your tanks is making me want to buy a heater for my 5.5 pond tank, rehome my mosquito fish, and buy a king betta. I can't do that though as the cromagnum guppies have grown on me.
