| 5ft Rescape I rescaped this tank this morning...Some fish back in and looking different *L*
1 cory returned by accident, so as soon as i catch it, it will be put in the planted 2ft with the other 2 cories.
All the BN are now out and in their breeding tank (yay yay)
Who returned to the 5ft tank!
Angels ~ Greyson, Tigger, Frell, Biatch, Diablo, Angelus, Castiel (new) & Uriel (new)
5 Pakistani laches
2 Clown loaches
1 Redtail shark ~ Bomber

| Thanx Peterpiper.
I love the look of wood in tanks, i bought a new piece that called to me today *LOL* It has been somewhat presoaked at my LFS, so hopefully it doesnt go tannin mad. I removed my large piece, as it just didnt fit into this scape, i'll probably sell it, as its just way too big to fit in any of my other tanks
I'm quite happy with the way this has turned out, tho 1 plant is just not looking right, so some more tweaking to be done i think. Also some new plants (balenese or similar) and some more fish eventually. |

| Stunning,
Question, how do you stop the clown loaches putting holes in the plants and generally being nasty to the plants?
I would love a tank like this but the clowns destroy all the plants i have put in with them except the criniums and java fern.

| The clown havent touched the plants, so far anyway. They're generally too busy chasing each other and hunting down the snails i put in there |

| Question: Are you adding any CO2 to the tank? What do you have for substrate?
I'm interested in seeing the success of different types of planted tanks ("low-tech" vs "high-tech"), as I'm experimenting with my own planted tanks. |

| Thank you
There is no CO2 running on this tank nor do i add ferts of any kind.
The substrate is 'RichGro Aquatic Plant Mix' (for potting pond plants) mixed in with plain gravel |

Wow, I would love, love, LOVE to have a tank like that. I am so highly infected with MTS, that I have been brain-washing my parents talking about getting a tank all the time. Once I can afford it, I'm getting a 55g next year.
Once again, your tank is beautiful. I believe you enjoy it alot. How many gallons is your tank?

| The pygmy chain sword stays small, i find them easy to care for. They will send out runners and make new plants once established |

| Wow, Alasse!
It looks great! How many watts per gallon do you have in there? Also, how many pounds of gravel did you need? (lol, sorry for the questions, I'm getting a 55gallon in a few months, so I need to know, sorta...lol )
Tank looks great! Java ferns are the best!

~ Ali | This tank is approx 355litres (94gal)....so it has around 1.1wpg of lighting
Gravel, i used an online calculator, depth of my substrate is 2.7" with the dimensions it says there is 140kg (309lb) of gravel in there, drop that back a bit because i have an aquatic mix in there which is not as heavy as gravel, i'd put it around 115-120kg (254-265lb) |
