| 55 gal planted community Here are some pics of the new tank. I don't have all the plants or fish in there yet, so it's a work in progress, but so far my fish are loving it. The 2 plecos were hiding and the albino cory was moving too fast for me to get pictures, but I managed to get decent ones of everyone else. |

He's cute.
Some fish are camera hogs, some fish are nearly impossible to get pics of. Be thankful. |

| I'm not really sure about the plants...I'm kind of just grabbing whatever I see that I like locally that doesn't require a bunch of light. The fish list, however, is complete. My current stock is listed in my aquarium info, and I'm going to be adding a mixed school of hatchets (silver, marble, and marthae), honey, neon blue, and "standard" (blue in the front that fades to orange at the tail) female dwarf gouramis, and a male german ram. I'm actually not sure what kind of german ram I'm getting...I saw them at my LFS today, and they weren't the blue or gold that I'm familiar with, so after I get him you all will have to help me figure out exactly what kind he is! |

| I didn't think Bolivians had very much red on them...is that wrong? The guy that was getting my fish and plants for me said they were germans, but then again I had to tell him how to sex gouramis so that he could catch me a female, so it's entirely possible you're right. |

| I got new bulbs this weekend! They look pretty darn good, if I do say so myself. The first pic is a side by side with the new bulb on the left and the old bulb on the right. Second is with both new bulbs in. The rest are new pictures of my fish. Today I added 3 more cories, a sunset gourami, and a female celebes half beak. |

| The new bulbs are a big improvement.
I really love the general feel of your tank! Your gravel reminds me of lava, and the whole ruins theme really makes it look good. You have some great lookin' fish as well!
How long has it been set up? |

| I've gotten some new additions since I last posted, among them a male pearl gourami. I thought I was going to have to put him in the 29 and give up the idea of a 3-spot, but my powder blue dwarf surprised me and is playing nice. I'm going to give it a month or two before I "fill the void" in the 29, but I'm really happy that I have a happy tank with 5 gouramis as of now. Maybe a moonlight is to come... |
