| It's great to hear that you're researching before stocking.
I'm not good at stocking suggestions, but a nice school of cardinals would look awesome.
We have several members who are very good at helping stock a tank, I'm sure they'll be able to help you.
What kind of fish are you interested in? |

| I think maybe a huge school of neons and angels or rams would look amazing!
What plants do you have? |

| Looks great. Is that eco-complete with some pebbles on top? I love it. For a planted tank, my favorite stocking is def. a large school of neons with some rams (I'm not biased or anything....). But, for a tank that big, I'd probably go with angels since rams only get to be about 3 inches. Get a little group of otos, too! They make a wonderful algae crew and they don't damage your plants. |

| Your tank is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing the pics.
A school of cardinal tetras (in my opinion they are prettier than neons) and a school of Rummynose Tetras would look beautiful in there with some German Blue Rams and a pair of angels (I love platinum angels if you can get your hands on some). Otos are great algae eaters and so are bristlenose plecos. What is the pH of your tank? Your aquarium info says 6.5-7.5, but that is a really wide range. |

| Usually we recommend against chemicals that will alter the natural pH of your tank. They can strip the natural buffers out of the water and cause all kinds of problems. What is your natural pH? If your water is 7 or below, you would be fine with German Blue Rams and rummynose tetras, but they can't handle higher pH's. |

| if its brown algae dont worry about it. its ugly, but its just a small diatom that comes along with new tanks.
Angels are fine in community tanks for the most part. once they get big (which they get 6"+ ) they might look at some of the fish as food, and go after them. when small, they just need to have their own little area to call their own, and they need plants. My angel is ALWAYS sleeping in the plants.
as far as high ph goes - my tap water has a ph of 8.0 and I have an angel who is doing extremely well, and a pair of German Blue Rams who are breeding every 7-10 days (but eating their eggs - whole different story haha). but its better to leave your ph unless EXTREMELY high or low, than to adjust it. If you're on city water, its almost a gurantee that the LFS will have the same ph level as you granted they're on city water and not using RO water. Actually, I plan ahead... Specially the driftwood, you need at least 2 weeks to get rid of tannins from it, otherwise you'll get a brownish water. |

| Brownish water isn't really a bad thing and it goes away with water changes. My fish like tannins. Not a problem.
Think you still have too many. (rough 1" of fish per gallon, plan for adult sized fish) Unless you plan on doing frequent water changes. (like I do) Also you should put them in slowly so your biological system has a chance to catch up. |
