Mark, I would love to help you, but unfortunately it sounds as though all your thoughts are running together and I am having some trouble deciphering your question. It is obvious that you really care about your fish, and are very worried, which is probably what is causing you to type so quickly. Can you please explain again what your question is? Maybe you can seperate each thought onto a different line?

Hi Mark
Based on 2 x 1 x 1 ft , your tank is about 15 gallons US or about 55L (total volume ).
I'm not familiar with the stingray filter your talking about so I only would be guessing if I commented .
Neons can be funny fish to keep . They are not the easiest of fish as they require good water quality but the fish shops sell heaps because they look good .
How long has your tank been up and running ?

I am thinking that your cycle was not complete...how did you cycle the tank?? even using one of the cycle helpers...safestart...stability ect it prob was not cycled yet and neons are quite sensitive to any water quality problems. I don't think to strong of a current would acually kill the fish unless they were sucked into the filter and trapped. It could stress them and cause death indirectly but that would not happen real fast. I have a school of neons in my 29 gallon tank that is filtered at a rate for a 70 gallon tank...if they get inbto the direct current it shoves them around some but dosn't seem to bother them as they go right back...lol...good luck.

Is your tank cycled?
What are your readings for ammonia, nitrItes and nitrAtes?

It seems odd that you would lose so many fish from over filtering.

Edit: Fishies-for-me and I were typing at the same time. I would suspect water problems. Did your fish show any symptoms of being ill?

It's odd that they'd be sucked in unless they were dead or weakened.
What are your readings?

Two weeks is much too soon to put in 15 neons. I'd would also suspect ammonia got them.

Sorry to hear about your losses.
