Hypnox' fish tank

Here is my fish tank. Sadly the bala shark in one of the photos is already dead. There is a tetra in the tank being a bully to everyone that i'm likely going to return. He's torn up one of the other tetras' fins too.

Nice tank, looks a little cloudy.. is it a new setup?

And I'm sorry about your bala shark. The tank was much too small for him, maybe that's why he died?

The bala was only 1 1/2" so he wasn't too big, yet. I have plans to upgrade to a 55 or 70 gallon tank soon, he would have had a lot of room to grow then.

One of the blackskirt tetras was nipping at the bala shark and the other tetras. The overly agressive tetra managed to tear up the fins of the other tetras. He got returned today.

The cloudiness has cleared up. I think it was from the rock on the bottom.

Beatiful tank! I love the colored gravel! It gives the tank a more colorful environment! WELL DONE!

Just saying, I think you really should either get a big tank soon or return some of your fish. Angelfish need 20 gallons at the very minimum. Also, the reason your tetras are nipping is because they don't have a big enough school. You should have about 6 to prevent them from nipping other fish's fins. Also, what are the parameters. I doubt that they are fine with only a months of your tank running...
Sorry about the long post!

Nitrates are at 12 and the rest non-existent. PH hovers around 7.5. I do a roughly 15% water change every 4 days to keep the tank habitable for how overstocked it is.

The tetra problem was taken care of when I took the overly aggressive one back to Petco. The three left don't nip at anything and actually are much more active now with the 2 extra tank mates.

Well looks like you have it under control but a larger tank is definitely desirable.

Yep, it is. Which is why after I get my christmas bonus in late october it's going into a 75 gallon setup.
