30 gallon Mbuna set-up
Equipment-
AquaClear70 filter
2 50watt Stealth heaters
1 flourescent light...im to lazy to look at the wattage

digital thermometer

Fish-
2 Melanochromis auratus (1 male, 1 juvie)
2 Melanochromis johanni (both juvies)
1 Iodotropheus sprengerae (juvie)

Beautiful tank!

I love your third picture of the shiny fish. What kind of fish is it? Sorry, I'm not sure. Nice tank. I love the perfect landscape. WELL DONE!!

the 3rd pic is my male melanchromis auratus...he's in the mid of his color change...that purple area will be black soon

They cannot go together I explained in another post.

yes i did research, one of these will go into another tank that i have waiting...for now they dont seem to notice each other at all, but when the fights start i will have a new tank waiting

got back from the beach today and one of my juvie auratus has disappeared...no carcass, nothing on the floor lol

everyone else is doing fine...no fin nipping, just the occasional chase

no new pics...ive been busy with the new betta and other stuff...but everybody is doing great! eating really well, no fights (keeping fingers crossed) and they are all showing good coloring!

here is an updated pic of my tank! i changed the lighting...i now have a 20w bulb, and a uv filter "lamp" in a hood i bought with the tank...the tank looks much more realistic now

There's not much plants in Lake Malawi but it does look nice.

haha yes except for the plants it does...but i had to add some green stuff...it looked really plain without them...but the algae grows well on them, so the fish like them lol

True...I may try a java fern in mine after I get rid of the zebra species I have in my tank atm. Zebras (metriaclima) species are notorious for digging the heck out of a Malawi set up.

haha...mine dig under out the 1/2 shell on the right side...but other than that i havent seen them customizing their tank
