Hi Carol! Those are really interesting fish, you must love and enjoy watching them!

They are very interesting to watch and are very particular about how they want to "decorate"

Looks like we'll be getting a new long tank for them when you have young ready to ship.

The ones here have spawned with babies that appear to be about a week or so old.
We placed them on the top of a rack, as most shellies seem to do better when they can see less traffic.

So a quieter spot would be good for us to put a tank for shellies? Would that be a tank that would be good on the floor? (Since we're now gone to using floor space for more tanks.)

I really like your setup!
And they seem like such an interesting fish, it's too bad I haven't seen any in my area.

I think they need to mature a little bit but you are first in line Sounds like dino will have fry for sale before I will
I'm afraid the vibration of walking on the floor might put them off a bit.
My husband thinks a tank the height of a ten G but with the foot print of a 30G would be cool for them. That would just about make the tank all bottom LOL

Ours are in the fish room so they are kind of away from the main traffic pattern. Something else I have found that works well is to cover the back with background paper and wrap it all the way around the ends. Just leaving the front and a small bit of the sides open.
Mr. Greg check with an aquarium club in your area or ask your LFS to order them for you.
Thanks for all the kind comments everyone.
Dino- congrats on the fry
