| New aquascaping Well I finally put the time in to do a lil bit more in the tank, the first pic was about 8-9 months ago, now the fish has grown a lot, and I've added more aquascaping. How does it look? |

| Beautiful fish... have you thought about putting more plants in the tank? I know oscars pull them up, but at least they have fun while they are doing it. You could even secure them with more large rocks? |

| Thank you....Yes that is a BG Jack Dempsey, he has taken control of the corner that he was in, chasing the GT out everytime he swims over. The two Oscars are comical. I have been keeping them since 91 and every pair that I get is always different.
I've thought about more plants in the tank, but the ones that are in there now has been dug up numerous times, and with the new aquascaping I've anchord the plants under some of the larger rocks in hopes that these lil boogers won't rip these up
The one thing that I am concerned with is with the addition of more rocks, and more hiding places, my tank maintenance will be a little more involved with moving the rocks to keep the mess to a minimal. Or I will have to reposition my outputs and power heads to keep the movement in the tank, very active |

| HMmm.... It's really very attractive and considering that these fish don't really require tons of hiding places, your tank setup is fine for them. It's just my personal preference to have tons of plants. Not to mention that's what my little friends require. =] |

She doesn't really like to work on the tank, but she loves to boss me around. So why not use her for what she thinks she is good at I picked out everything, but needed her to help me put it all together. Now I just have to come up with a way to start hiding my power wires a little better and the tubing for the FX-5
Here are a few more pics |

| Both are solved relatively easily.
1.] Get a backdrop for you tank. I like the less busy solid colored ones. My favorite is the blue that gets darker toward the bottom. They are easy to find and make the tank decor stand out.
2.]Just put some taller plants in front of the tubing.
=DBeauitful little girl btw. |

Real wood? | Yes, it is ALL plywood with 2x4 bracing for the stand 3/4" plywood I believe what it is all made of. I bought the tank/stand/canopy all second hand. The only thing I don't like about it, is the color. But I can live with it until I decide to sand it all down and re-stain it. Probably choose a richer mahogany color. But thanks for the compliments Last edited by L a r r y; March 16th, 2008 at 09:23 PM.

| It's very nice. Mahogany would be lovely. Especially with a dark blue backdrop? Hint, hint! ;] |
