Great pics, your tanks look really good. thanks for sharing them.
I love the last picture of the first set you posted. What kind is it?
You should think about entering that in the Fish of the Month.

I already did enter it! lol. The big blue one is a red top trewavasae. and the small one with the black bacground is a mix. it is a mix of the red top and a black lab. It came out stunning though! Thanks for the comment.

Cool tanks What are you planning to put in your SW when it's ready for fish?

Thanks alot for comments, I take lots of pride in my fish tanks, I love cichlids also, they are really pretty, and have a lot of personality. The catfish tank does look pretty good to me, I am planning on planting something different than anubias. if you have any suggestions for mdeium light plants let me know and ill look into some. for the saltwater all I want so far is a lawnmower blenny, maroon clowns, and maybe some sand sifting gobies. once again if you have any suggestions let me know.

I really like your tanks. They seem to all be coming along real well.
I was wondering, how was the transition to SW? I have been thinking about it for a bit now, and I would be looking at a similar setup. A pair of Ocellaris Clowns and maybe a goby or two.
I know you might not have fish yet, but so far is it what you expected?
I'm debating what size tank to get as well.
Anyway, nice tanks!

it is going a lot easier than I was expecting. It may change once I get any fish in there but so far it has been just as easy if not easier than freshwater. I did start to get algae ALL OVER my tank but I now have tons of pods that have eaten half of it in two days. I grabbed some of them and put them in a mason jar in the window sill and I am hoping on culturing them. I have a baby anenome growing, coralline algae, and all sorts of Pods growing all in my tank. I would say go ahead and try it. It is really beautiful to look at and even fun to take care of I think. Mine is a 20 gallon and it cost a lot of money for all the rock and lights. But of course i'm just a teenager with no job so it seems like a lot. I think I got my rock for $2.20/lb on ebay, and a 65 watt light for $40.00 on ebay. I think those little 3 or 5 gallon eclipse tanks look good as saltwater tanks. My dad has one of those with a yellow-tail damsel fish in it. I don't know what to tell you about easiness yet because I have only had it for a couple weeks.

Glad to hear you are liking it a lot. I'm looking forward to setting one up, and I'm thinking of around 29g. Should be enough for what I'm looking to stock it with. The price will hurt a bit, but oh well haha. Should be worth it, cause I'd really like to have FW and SW going at the same time.
