hi there, I'm new to this forum but not that new to fish keeping. I kept fish for a few years before I moved to Calgary from Oakville, Ontario. I just started back at it before in the summer. A freind of mine was moving to Scotland and her daughter had a "goldfish" that she was giving to me with the bowl. When i got the "goldfish" I discovered that even though the fish was gold it was not a goldfish but was actually a Gourami. I quickly dusted off my 10 gallon tank to try to save the poor bugger. It did well for a little while but didnt survive. I was hooked again and started getting a few fish for my 10 gallon tank. my son started bugging me about getting his 20 gallon tank going for him so I did. now I have a 3 gallon goldfish tank, a 10 gallon quarantine/hospital tank and a 20 gallon tank up and running and soon hope to get the 40 gallon tank going again too. here are a few pictures of the tanks as they stand right now.

lol....you might as well just go to a 75 or 100+ gallon tank. your "MTS" seems to be progressing rather quickly.

Welcome to Fishlore! Your tanks are looking good! You may want to try putting a background on them. It really adds a nice finishing tough and makes your fish feel more secure. FYI: Goldfish require a 20 gallon tank for one fish and 10 gallons for each additional goldfish after that. Your 3 gallon would suffice for one betta though. Sorry about your gourami. It is good that you tried to save him. Poor little guy

Nice tank! I agree about the background there cheap and improve the overall look of a tank. check out mine pics have some before and after I bought one.
