Fishee Love Me Do update..

hello all,
Fishee Love Me Do is doing great!! im cleaning his tank at some point today for the first time..lol..wish me luck! Ha! my mom has sent me a few nice plants for his home. he is such an interactive fish! i had no idea that they really do "play" with u. he follows my finger and does what i call "pretty boy" (swims back and forth against the glass) i love it!! he is one of my favorite pets ever!!
He has changed so much since ive had him. his color is so bright and he even seems to have gotten "fat". lol.. awww my fat fishee!! hehehee
Thank you everyone for giving me ideas and making sure i was on top of things. i still havent gotten any pics yet but ill do my best to get some more up there.
thanks again!
~Tina

Tina sent me photos of her Betta to post, she cant do it from home for some reason... Anyway...
After looking at the photos of 'fishee love me do', I have to say, this betta is gorgeous! I have not seen it in person yet, so was surprised to see that its possibly a half moon, or a double ray but check out these fins!

ok.. here is the photos Tina sent..

Hi Dave,
I agree... after checking out the photos, I notice her betta does not have the fan tail like my guys. All fin length on her betta seem to be all one length.
It almost looks like it has a petticoat on! lol... with rows... I would love to see a photo of it flaring with its fins all standing up!
He really is a beauty... I cant wait to see it in person myself.

I'm not sure really if there is one good site to find all the information on the types of Betta Splendens. I learned here at Fishlore from looking at the pics of the Bettas and talking to the Betta pros, like Rose.

But basically, a Betta with fins like yours is a veil tail betta. If the fins are sort of spikey, but have webbing most of the way to the end, that's a crown tail betta. If the fins are spikey but have less webbing, that's a comb tail betta. There's also a feathered betta - the fins almost look torn like feathers.

The amount of tail fin gives you Over Halfmoon (180 degrees+), Halfmoon (180 degrees), Super Delta (over 90 but under 180 degrees) and Delta (90 degrees).

Some patterns have names. When you have 2 colors that sort of form an oval-ish shape like yours, that's a butterfly. Other patterns include dalmation and dragon.

I think that's the basic breakdown of the Betta Splendens. Hopefully I haven't gotten any of that info wrong.

bettysplendens.com has photos and descriptions of the different types of Bettas out there. For some reason, I cannot copy and paste it, so giving the name of the site is the best I can do...
Check it out.. I found it a great site with photos!
