Helllo all,
it seems my thread was erased during the crash or i dont know what im doing and cant find it..lol
so i shall start again..hehehee it wont me animated like the other tho.

on thursday i was walking threw my kitchen at work and saw a nasty dirty vase sitting on the table. when i looked threw it this poor little fishy swam right up to me. i was so annoyed it was in a dirty vase. when i went home i told my boyfriend about it and it really bothered me. i have to be honest, if my mom wasnt so into her fish tanks and talked about them threw her journy to what i refered to her as at the pet store, fish tank queen, i might not have given it a second thought,. the next day i walked in and he was still there so i told everyone i was taking him home and no one was gonna stop me! i headed straight to the pet store and 90 bucks later had a great setup next to my pc. i got a 6.6 gallon tank kit, heater, temp reader, and some goodies.
he is a crown tail, with a pale body and purplish red fins. i named him Fishee Love Me Do. thats right Fishee, i couldnt come up with anything better...lol atleast i spelled it differently!
he is so happy..he comes right up to me when ever i sit in my chair at the desk. i would never have thought id be this excited over a fish! this is my first tank that is truely mine and i love it.it really felt good to help fishee. he does have a personality and im over joyed when i sit and watch him.
i went to the pet store today to buy more food thanks to my 4 cats that decided to play with the pack and sent it to the land of the lost and had a blast looking at all the other fish. then i thought of getting a divider and putting another betta in it and felt so guilty! so i turned to my boyfriend and said i needed another tank. he rolled his eyes and said oh great your turning into your mother!! i just laughed (because i knew i was getting another tank soon) heheheee. i liked the black lyre mollys and the guppies. when we make our big move to a house i think i might have to have a LOT more tanks! i cant wait to share pictures of him. i feel like the tank is empty tho, i have a rock house he likes to go in and a large silky leafy thing. should i add more? do u think hes lonely? im not sure how we would know but thought id ask anyway .
someone said they missed the story and wanted to know if i was capekates kid..yes i am..lol.. she had me hooked over thanksgiving playing the darn games and as soon as i went home signed up!! hahahaa now im a real fish owner and im sooooo excited to share my stories..
please forgive me if my old thread that tells the same story is out floating around somewhere but i couldnt find it..lol... ttyl!

Congrats on your rescue! Bettas are usually fine by themselves, so he is probably not lonely. You should post a pic so that we can see him. Trust me, you may end up with a few more tanks before you move into a house. MTS is addicting. My husband and I are in an apartment and are saving up to buy a house and right now I have 7 tanks. 2 are new. I promised my hubby that these would be the last until we move. so Fishee Love Me Do is fine by himself...good! lol... my boyfriend wouldnt mind getting a blue one. hes so good to me and i know if i really wanted another tank hed get me one. but we all know how costly it is every penny goes to our new house so i know where your coming from kate.. wow 7 tanks!! maybe some day! yes my mom warned me about mts!!! hahaahaa im going to have her post my pics for me. im havoing trouble with this new pc. i miss my old one.

way to go...that is so cool. i love it when i read or hear about things like this. good for you and those little betta's with their big black eyes are real hams. they are so hard to pass by and not notice.

That is so sweet! I'm so glad you could help the betta.

In my programming class, there's a bowl with some plant in it, some marbles or w/e at the bottom and...a poor betta I walk past him every day in that class to pick up a textbook...he is so droopy and sad at the bottom of the tank. Er sorry, did I say tank? I meant bowl.

The woman that owns him doesn't seem to know and when I mentioned the water and space she got kind of annoyed, so I don't think I can rescue him. But man! I just feel so bad whenever I see bettas in small bowls like that

If I didn't already have a betta in my 10 gallon I'd totally steal him and put him in a bigger home The one I have I got from Deathco though so I consider it a "rescue" of sorts :P
