Well i added a black background. It looks great! I used plain black construction paper so i wouldnt get a glare. the betta still dosent see his reflestion so he is happy and calm. I lost another shrimp when it was molting, the bigest one ate him i think. well i saw the meidum one eating half of him so o well another one bites the dust. I was having a problem with brown algy so i got an otto. Now I think my tank is stocked. the oto is only about 3/4 of an inch long. once again no reaction from the betta. one flare when the oto was still in the bag and since then nothing. I will try to get my camra back up and running so picts. are comming

Cool betta tank.. I agree about a background, I have read that it also helps the fish feel secure? After I read that I went around putting backgrounds on all my little tanks. I love adfs! I have 2 in a guppy tank... this is not the first I have had though... I had 2 for about 2 years w/ my sons first tank (my mom bought it for him when he was 2 and it started my fist hobby! he is 5 turning 6 in march)....

I like my frog too. I love the way he walks along the bottom and when he snaps at food his whole body jumps. funny little thing dosent look like it can swim very well each leg goes in a different direction but he makes it to the top.

you can see the new oto on the rock and the new black background. I took out the bubble wall everyone avoided it and i heard it could be taking out to much CO2. plus it was shreading my hornwart. I will be fine with out it right?

Our Betta and other fish did ok without bubbles, although they do enjoy playing in them. What you might want for that tank is a ceramic or wood "air stone" to suction cup to the side. They'll release smaller bubbles for them to play in and shouldn't have any negative effects on your plants.

Never heard that bubble wall remove CO2 from the tank and when I had a betta in a 10g it loved having airstones in the tank.
