Rainbow's Tanks

I have a 5gal hex and I have 1 male Betta, 2 african dwarf frogs, 1 cory, they are doing well, or so it seems.

I have a 10 gal. that is another story. 1 Pleco, 2 white clowd minnows, 2 zebra danio, 2 female Bettas.
The Pleco had anchor worms, i treated with parasite clear, according to directions, there was a small cory in there at the time, & he died.
Then I thought the worms was gone, now the Pleco has fungus. I put in fungus clear, hoping to clear the Pleco up. I do water changes regularly, and try to do everything right, as I really like my fish.
What else can I do to help the pleco? He does not appear sick, nor do any in that tank, they seem to be doing well.

Thanks,
Rainbow

Welcome to FishLore.

Does your pleco still have fungus? How long have you been using fungus clear on him? We use something called Rid-Fungus that has worked well for us and isn't hard on the fish.

It's safe, but Rid-Fungus is very easy on fish, even fry. It seems to be more effective as well. I would go ahead and finish the fungus clear treatment though and if you still see any signs of fungus, treat with rid-fungus for as long as you need to, it's an organic, herbal treatment and safe to use as desired. Hopefully, the fungus will clear up now though.

Frogs

I have Melafix in the other tank for the pleco, will it hurt the frogs?

I'm not sure, but as far as I know Melafix only affects air labyrinth fish negatively.

I moved the posts about your Betta to the fish diseases forum to get more answers about his condition. That forum is one of the busiest ones here.

Frogs

Thank you so much! I went ahead & took the frogs out, and put in a large jug with a loose lid so they can't get out, I also put the parasite clear in the tank. I am praying that it isn't too late for him, he is not doing well at all.. He is on the bottom of the tank.
I will be waiting & watching him.
Thanks for your help.
God bless you for caring enough to reply.

Our Betta Aslan looked in bad shape Sunday but has finally started to look better some after the 2nd dose of parasite clear. Parasites are draining to them and I think the meds make them a little tired too. They're little fighters so there's always hope they'll get better. We hope & pray your little guy pulls through too.

Yea, it's hard to lose a longtime pet for sure. They're at peace, but we miss them. You took super care of your pup for her to live so incredibly long for a dog! I hope your Betta will end up living a long life too.
