Hey, wow I've been gone forever. Summer does that to me. Those of you who work outdoors know how it is.
Hey Mario, sorry to take so long getting back to you but I have good news. I promise to have that DIY thread going by this evening. Between Internet crashes and computer (Well Vista crashes) and summertime, the thread got kind of back burnered. Fortunately it gave me a chance to get some quality time with the sump and I have come up with some better ideas that will help. A quick answer to some of your questions. I have 2 Intakes left and right. The left side is split in 2 lengthwise. I have a baffle in the Fuge side to spread the inflow of water so I don't get a jet of water in the fuge itself. The bags are any filter media you need. I use Purigen and PhosGuard. The bubbles aren't bad. Other than being the source of a most of the noise. It isn't real loud but it's not silent. I have a few revisions that will make it much quieter and trap more bubbles. I'm using a powerhead venturi to drive my overflow box so I have a plethora of bubbles anyway. Hard to tell if the sump is making too many. The fuge is totally bubble free but that has as much to do with my plumbing as anything. Anyway. I swear to you there will be work done on the DIY thread tonight. lol
As for the 75, it's looking good. The pink coraline has gone absolutely bonkers. The back glass is about 1/3 covered and I've scraped some off lol. I think it's because of 2 main things. The sump fuge and the Yellow Tang. The sump is getting nice and broken in. The fuge is growing some serious algea and the Tang has cleaned out a vast majority of the yuckier algeas in the display. The coraline has far less competition now. The Kenya Tree is starting to show it's true colors. limbs break off and float away to make new trees very easily. I have to pick them out regularly and they really mess with my Fox. Pretty but kind of a pain. Will never recommend them. The Green Striped shroom has a baby and is growing slowly. The Red however has had many babies 5 or 6 and is growing slowly. The Lavender Shroom is still just two but they are growing very well. I just moved them a little bit and changed the flow a bit and they are wide open now. More so than they have been in awhile. The Fox Coral is doing well. Took awhile to get the rocks sittuated right and the flow directed properly but now it's loving life. They can be very difficult to get slow enough current. The slightest wisp and they shrink up. The 4 polyp combo rock is slowy becoming a one ployp rock as I had suspected it would. The Pink Star Polyps are way to fast growers for the others to keep up. I got it situated where the other three polyps can colonize new rocks. The Zoos are all doing fantastic. Pretty easy to keep though they do like to grow and spread they aren't nearly as bad as the Kenya. The Green Star Polyps are an impressive colony and the Clown fish loves every bit of it. They grow fast and furious just like the Pinks but they're predictable. Just make sure it's surrounding neighbors can grow fairly fast in the other direction or keep it trimmed back. Beautiful and worth the effort. The fish are all doing well too. The new mandarin is staying fat and happy. He likes to peck at the front glass and flare out in the evenings when I come home. Hides for everyone else. lol The Tang is still hungry as usual. Shrimpy shed once again last night. Getting to be a good size shrimp these days. Molting once a month average. I do need about 200 nassarius snails. lol But what are you gonna do.

The fuge really needs some sand stirrers. the main too for that matter. That's what you get when you go from 55 gallons and 2 canisters to a 90 gallon total system.
Anyway, it's been ages so I really just wanted to say HI
