the first tank i have came up with is a pretty basic tropical fish tank.
at the moment i have

120 liter tank - 4 Sword tails (one male),
2 Bristle nose catfish (one male one female)
1 Dwarf glow light Gourami (male)

i am only thinking of maybe adding 2 more female dwarf gourami's to the tank but i dont wish to over crowd.

let me know what you think of my first tank back in keeping tropical fish its been about 2years or so. and also if you think i should add the 2 female glow light dwarfs

Hi Bryn. Nice looking tank!

If you are considering breeding the dwarfs, then females are a good idea, but you will need to have another tank for that, since the male will kill the females if you are not very careful and any young wouldn't stand a chance of survival in a community tank!

The swordtails will very quickly fill the tank to imitate a sardine tin, but you won't need to worry about the bristlenose's for a while yet!

If you want to introduce more fish to this tank, I would go for male dwarf gouramis or maybe something a little bigger to help with the forthcoming overpopulation!
