YAY!!! I have finally finished the tranformation!!! What was once an VERY sad looking tank w/h blue and purple gravel,no background ,plants or other decor is now a beautiful ,natural looking aquarium! The plants are fake but dont look too unrealistic.
It's a bit overstocked but well maintained>thanks to the info i have received from members here. THANK YOU ALL!! Will be getting a larger tank soon and will probally do something similar with it, as I really prefer the natural look and think it helps bring out the colors of the fish rather than compete with their colors. Anyway this is what I have: 1 pleco
2 corys
1 spotted catfish
2 rosey red minnows
1 red/orange mollie and 6 small platy/sword/mollies>left over feeders from a friends tank whose oscar died.
