do otos or corys do better with overall cleaning...and which species should i try to get?
corys handle a lot of the cleaning along the bottom and otos love to eat algae. i think any species of either would do well, but you can check out all of them at http://www.planetcatfish.com/.
i am taking the pirate ship out of my 29 gal. and putting it in my betta tank
and will be adding this rock formation to my community tank
(i am boiling it right now, should have it in by tommorrow evening, will post pics then)
i went to have my water tested today, results: ammonia: 2.0 (doing water change and adding prime) nitrite:0.0 nitrate:0.0 pH:7.6
as soon as i can get my ammonia levels down, i will be getting my new fish
they had some brand new corydora zygatus that i will be getting a 4 fish group of
good idea! lets add tiger barbs and have them nip at my big fish...which will eventually kill them! thats a good idea i think i'll do that next time i'm trying to get rid of fish

u must be lying tigers only do that if they are being bothered
now i'm ed...my blue g. has been harassing the new corys all night...i'm gonna turn her in as soon as i get back from va. what can i do to stop this aggression, i never knew that anything would attack a cory like that...she swims throught the plants looking for them...its a game to her
i'm probably gonna wake up to 3 near death corys 'cause of stress
she needs a time out.. seperate her into a container and rearrange the tank some maybe before letting her back in. if that doesn't work, then you might have to divide the tank or find small hiding places for them she can't get into, put her in another tank or turn her in. maybe post a question in the gourami forum to find out what's motivating her behavior.
Does she seem to be trying to bite them or is it more of a curiosity thing.. sometimes fish will be curious, but even our bettas didn't really pay a lot of attention to the corys when we added some.
it looked like she was nipping at them, but they were swimming too fast for me to see well, i tried to catch her and put her in my 5 gal, but she hides in the mid of the live plants and i cant get here, i'm leaving early tom morning, so i cant get a net breeder
unfortunately, the only way to get her might be to take the plants & all out. it could be something that will change over time as she accepts them.. hard to say since these little fish like to have personality and don't all follow the same rules.
