I never used the Bioballs. I just replaced them with live rock rubble.

The tank looks nice, what are the dimensions?

Awesome! If you have any hard-to-clean spots, a paper towel soaked in white vinegar will work wonders. Just lay the towel on top of any problem areas and let it sit for a few minutes. It will dissolve any leftover spots. Hubby and I just got done cleaning up the acrylic frag tank, and we couldn't believe what a great job the vinegar did! Anyway, be sure to update often with lots of new pics! Congrats!

Went to a new store for salt water tanks only and bought 20 more pounds of live sand..... it was the only kind they had....... reef crystals...... a thermometer and a deionized water filter

I was wondering if I should get a protein skimmer for the 29...... they have one made for it?

I've not heard good reviews of the Biocube protein skimmers. You might want to save your money on that.
You don't have to use a skimmer; as long as you are diligent about maintenance your tank should be fine without one.
