| Yep betta tadpoles lol....They are so adorable! I could just sit for hours and peek under the lid.....They are all free swimming all over the tank...I think it is time for Dad to come out but I'm sad to have to remove him...He is such a great Daddy I don't want him to get depressed....
Here is a video of my percious little wigglers! I'll be using this thread to post daily progress...I hope you are all enjoying watching my adventure in Betta breeding! |

| We are approaching day 5.....All is going good.....I see lots of babies hanging in the Xmas moss....I'm putting micro worms in the tank with an eye dropper.....I can't tell if they are eating them but I'm not seeing and dead babies so I'm assuming they are getting something....I will be hatching some baby brine by the end of the week..I want to add a variety of foods for the growing fry.....Mom and Dad are doing fabulous not a rip or tear on either one of them...
More photos tomorrow....I'm taking today off rom the camera to give them a break lol
Once again, thank you for all your support! |

| Day 5....My babies seem to be eating the Microworms even though I can't see them.....They are definetely growing...Some of them look pure white and others are darker.....It will be interesting to see what color they turn out...
Here are my babies today...Shannon already has her girlish figure back lol...She will be bred to Christopher next.... |

| VERY CUTE!!! can you explain why the christmas moss? |
| |
October 7th, 2008
|
| | Fish Master
| The moss provides nutrients for the fry....It also keeps the fry tank stable because there is no filter running right now..The whole tank is filled with Xmas moss and horntwort plants.. |

| Jacq....You can't run a filter during the spawning because of the bubble nest...Everything has to remain still...And yes, the fry are beyond small....You can't see them with the naked eye until they are about 3 days old... |

| How do you control the ammonia in the tank MM? if it is daily water changes...
Poor MM you must be exhausted! |

| The ammonia is controlled by the heavily planted tank...And yes, I'm extremely tired lol But so in awe of the whole process that I have to capture it on film! |

Poor MM you must be exhausted! | With all baby fish their tanks must be cleaned daily. With so many feedings it's a must. |

| Allie, just jump in and try it...Get yourself a nice girl to go with your boy and go for it...I have to warn you it is major time consuming...Did the breeder of your Dargons tell you about their problem? Maybe she can send you a male to breed to your girl that would compliment her.... |

| It's the babies 1 week birthday today ....What an adventure this has been....I'm more tired from this than when I had my human kids lol......
Here are a few of the babies this morning....It is very interesting to see the size and color difference between them all.....Here is 1 of my large white ones....The others in the photo are dark and smaller....
Pandora, have you noticed these kind of differences in your 1 week old fry? |
