Real Marine Plant

I am keeping a true marine plant. It is a species that spread runners and resembles a wide leaf (but short in height) FW Vallisnera americana.

Its scientific name is Thalassia testudinum, common name Turtle Grass. I lost the battery charger of my camera so for the moment I took this pics with my cell.

The first pic shows one plant with the rhyzome out (for illustration purposes).

These are adapting to my tank, planted in the deep sand bed substrate (aragonite reef sand, 6"). They seem to do best in mild current or somewhat quiet spots.

My Turtle Grass is adapting quite well. I removed the most damaged leaves. I've been dosing iron regularly. Two of the plants are developing new leaves.

A close up pic and another showing the tank. Note the green algae carpets (I grow amphipods and copepods in them in the refugium), those stay in tank for a couple of days for the fish to munch live food.
