Hi Valentine. I'm not sure about weather loaches but I do know some loaches eat any type of snails. I hope for more input from other experienced members on this. Good luck!

From loaches.com, weather loaches "will avidly eat snails". I don't think I'd risk it.

Snails (any type) + loaches = fat loaches.

Just from personal experience my four weather loaches(dojo loaches) don't even notice my mystery snails. Of course they get fed plenty also. Usually only the Botia Loaches(ones with pointy noses) eat snails. The mouth on a weather loach not really oriented for snail eating.
The information at loaches.com is usually right on the money but this is my personal experience.

thanks, my loaches have never caused a problem with my bamboo shrimp so i think they will be ok but i will consider all input before making a decision. they are both blind/partly blind due to living in a 2.5 gallon hex tank and being kept in very poor condition, together they are about 11 inches so that gives you some idea.
