Scientific Name: Schistura pridii

Common Name: Mini Dragon Loach

pH: 7.0-8.0

Hardness: Hard

dH: 15-25 degrees

Temperature: 18-24 deg C (High oxygen levels essential)

Distribution : Thailand

Maximum Size: 5cm (2”)

Beautiful Loach and as you said very rare. One of the reasons(as the article stated ) is because they live in only 4 small fast-flowing streams at high elevation atop a huge limestone mountain, In Thailand. They are also very hard to provide for and keep successfully.
Could you tell us a little about their tank. They are so interesting.

Oh my..What an article...They are a beautiful loach for sure..But their story is sooo sad. Hopefully the few that are out their in the aquarium trade end up in the right hands and can be breed..Do you have more then one??..And like Carol, I would love to know what kind of set up you have for them..They truly are a very rare fish indeed.
