my mom's friend was given a 5 gallon fish tank with 2 fish in it, we think they are weather loaches. nobody can keep them and the tank they are in now is way too small.

what should we do?

see if your local fish store will take them ? sometimes you mention free, and they jump on it

Offer them on Craigs list, or even on here. If there happens to be someone who lives near you, (and you/your parents are comfortable giving your location out, depending on your age), you might be able to find a home.

The fish store idea is the easiest, though, and you should probably start there.

The weather loach is also called the Dojo loach, and the Pond Loach.

They are cold-water fish.

The minimum aquarium size for them is 20 gallons.

That might be helpful if you list them in Craig's list.

What color are they? They have quite a color range.
