the zebra danios are not live bearers and you would need some male danios too. They are egg scatters and they will eat thier own fry and/eggs. It is best to keep them in a small 5 gallon that is heavily planted so they cant eat their eggs. once the parents are done spawning you can remove them so you can start raising the fry. the fry hatch within 36 hours and will become free swimming within days. when they first start feeding they will need plants to feed off of or you could use micro worms, vinegar ells, grindal words, green water, or infoursia. their fry are easy to manage compared to some other egg layers. the fry will be ready to accept bbs within a couple of days after being on their first food. if you do not have bbs than you can use some first bites by hikari or you could use some boiled egg yolk mixed into a paste then take a toothpick and slightly dip some in the water. the egg yolk will polute the waater so you need to be doing almost daily water changes if you can. the fry should be able to take finely crushed flake food once they are about the size of livebearer fry.

since you said a small 5 gallon does that mean that i can use a 1 1/2 gallon with less plants but still a lot? (enough to make it hard to eat their eggs but possable to move like three) my 1 1/2 galoon is skinny and high... is it the plant they eat or some thing on the plant? do you know around how big they are? are they the head of a pin or invisanble? how big ils the egg? where would you say a good placce would have fish food for them?

thank you so much
