Hi Fishlover, Most female Guppies will be pregnant if they've been in contact with males in the last 6 months. Female Guppies can store sperm for months and will give birth every 28 days or so. The dark spot in her belly is called a gravid spot, and will increase in size the nearer she gets to giving birth.

ive merged your back to back posts and you can just use the edit button to do that next time
most likely they both are preggo ...they can hold sperm inside them for some time if they have ever been near a male..the fact that you have one with them is even more a probability!

nick...welcome back!!!!!!

We ALWAYS have time for questions. There's someone online 24/7 around here.

There's a pretty good chance your other female is pregnant as well, especially if she's getting "chunky" and been around the boy for awhile. I had a female guppy get pregnant and she was only with a boy for 24 hours.

Great fishkeeping by keeping two females with one male so one female can get a break! Good job

EDIT: Wow, I was twice.

Grow the babies and talk to your local fish store. Get acquainted with the owner or manager and possibly they will buy or trade with you. I did as a retailer and got a lot of really good healthy tank raised fish from our local water. Fish are fun and so are fish nuts. Good luck and have fun.
