I have 3 female guppies and 2 female platies and this morning I just saw 2 new babies. They dont have any color so I think they are guppies but how do you tell who is the mom?? Out of the 3 guppies I thought 2 were pregnant but they did not look ready to drop yet. So of course they are still in the tank just like last time. I was hoping to see the process this time...........

Hi reds! most of the time the females looks thinner. Their gravid spot isnt as strong, but it is usually smaller. yes, guppy fry is colorless the first couple weeks. I am at week 3 and they have just started to show some black colors on their fins...

I already have 5 fry that are about 1 month+ old and yes they are starting to color up nicely. Still cant tell which female is the new mom but I have spotted about 7-8 babies so far. The last time the mom didnt make it, she died the next day. Hopefully this time will be better. BYW, I saw your video and thought it was so funny because the fry looked like they were in a barcardi bottle!!!! Congrats to you as well!!!

one of my guppies just had 20+ fry and she lookes much skinnier now. She's just now starting to get a rounded belly again and she had the fry on Tuesday! Unfortunatley another one of my females died from a ruptured/prolasped uterus. but anyways congrats on the fry!

I'm seeing pictures. I see your avatar with the big piece of cucumber and your precious little pleco. Are you on a different computer than usual? If so, it might be blocking some content

I tried everything and still cant see anything except text...............at least I can see that.

There are at least 10 babies, I think. They are still in the tank just like last time. Its truely time for me to find a bigger tank!!!

Meeep! That's so neat. Congrats on the babies (and the new tank hehehehe)! I think one of my blue guppy girls is going to drop soon. I'm so excited! I'll keep a close eye on your thread for any tips and info.

Now I dont have to worry who's the mom as the other female dropped last night. I now have a tank full of babies. Whoooooooo

I tried to get pics, they are not that great. The first one if you look closely are some of the new babies, the second is one of the previous batch starting to color up.

aww! theyre so cute! yup some fry are not afraid of anything, though sometimes its too late lol
