Any Suggestions about my tank

I have a 33g heavily planted tank and am wanting livebearers. But what I want are the fancy males of the mollies, guppies, platies, and swordtails. Is it possible for such a setup or wishful thinking? I don't want babies is the main reason for not having females.

I posted in the molly section about my male mollies chasing each other so I know having more than one swordtail would be a problem. But, do you think the tank could be peaceful with multiple male mollies, guppies, and platies? Do you have a better plan? Thanks.

Males very well may fight. I have female mollies, they get pregnant all the time. The other fish in the tank take care of the fry.

breeding livebearers is fun, trust me. if you really don't want the fry you could give them away to a friend or you LPS, but it is your choice.

any way, males may fight, but it really all depends on their attitude. in a heavily planted tank, i think there are plenty of hiding places for the looser to hide in and a 33 gallon tank, i think they are fine, i don't know livebearers to kill each other.

in a 33 gallon tank, you probably dont have to worry about them fighting so long as there are hiding places. But you might actually enjoy having fry.

I agree a 33 gal is plenty of room..but DO NOT overstock even with just males..they will fight till death as they are agressive...not as bad as if they are competing for females tho...you could have a great tank ..and share pics

I found that dwarf sunset platies and guppies mix well together. The only place I found these dwarf platy is PetSmart. If you live near one check em out. I got 1 male guppy and 2 female dwarf platies so I don't have to worry about babies
