Marshall Islands is pretty light IME but expensive and difficult to find. I have Fiji and don't have much experience with other kinds.

what do you think would be lighter? Lace rock, or Tufa rock?

tufa rock is HEAVY but its cheap too because its not live
I use tufa as base rock, then put live rock ontop and around it

Less dense rock is lighter and also better for filtration , fiji rock is the area where it came from but due to the reef contents (as live rock is dead coral formation) depends on how dense the rock is look for rocks with larger holes and more pourous

I agree with nemo addict. I don't think one type is actualyy lighter than the other, it depends on how porous it is. I do use fiji as well and I have larger pieces that are lighter than smaller because of this.
