Can someone identify this?

Ok,

I got some new live rock and it has a big red blob that kinda looks like a deflated tomato?? it also has a hole in the middle that opens and closes, so whatever it is its alive. Anyone know what this is??

Do you see any feeder tentacles at night, after all the lights go off?

No, it doesnt seem to have any. Unless they are too small to be noticed. Again its new rocks so whatever it is was out of water for about 24 hours. Its been in the tank for about 3 days when I took that pic. It still looks about the same now.

My first wonder is something along the lines of a sea cucumber of some sort, or perhaps something close to an urchin (obviously no spines, though).

I was wondering that, too, since it has the valve. But I see no shell. Are there any mullosks that don't have shells?

Actually after looking at it again, and other pics of inverts I am thinking pincushion urchin. They come in the redish color as well.

Scallops appear to be shelled, but that idea gives me some ideas to try to follow.

Edit: Might be. If it is, the thing is in rough shape (not surprising, since it sounds like it was out of the water for days). Another possibility is one of the sea slugs, though I don't know where to start the search.

Like I said, google for pics of Sea squirts or turnicate, maybe will find some that are similar or same. They are in many different forms and colors living attached to rocks.
