adding copper safe for ICH treatment healthy for live rocks?



im tank has an ICH now then i added copper saf once 28 ml, then i made a 2x water change already, was is it safe for the live rocks that i have now?how long until i waited to add more corals and fish?my tank is just 6 weeks...

sorry to say, you are risking everything u have to put copper in. it is a heavy metal. it could do very good or screw u up tenfold.

adding copper or any other treatment to your tank is a big no no. Never ever add any kind of treatment to your main tank. Not even ones that say reef safe on them. The reason being is that the change around the parmeters of the water with such things at metal. Your best option is to have a qaurentine tank to move fish to and treat in this tank, as to no upset the balence in your main tank. The other problem is, is that the copper ich treatment can seep into your silcone seels of your tank and stay there and slowly release back into your tank. And there is no way to fix this or stop it. Your best option now is to just wait and continue water changes and to by a copper test kit and test your tank to see if any readinings show. Copper is highly toxic to all invertibrates and coral. I recomned waiting 3-4 months before even attempting to put any of these into your tank.
