Hey guys,

After a few weeks of having my live rock, i am starting to notice some green, grass-like growths on my rocks. They look like individual blades of grass...do they pose a problem for my tank? What should I be on the look out for in terms of nuisance algae? I will post some pictures if I can get some good shots of them...thanks again for all of your help!!!

In terms of nuisance algae, you should be on the lookout for green, grass-like growths that look like individual blades of grass. Sounds like the beginnings of hair algae. They don't pose a problem by themselves, but aren't the most attractive. Also can indicate excessive nutrients in the water (nitrate, phosphate, food, etc).

all of my levels are at 0...will crabs and other cleaners help in removing it?
