what would be a good light to bring out my overall tank and fish? I have no live plants in my tank. Thanks a bunch

If you have no fish then you can buy a bulb that brings out the colors in them I believe. If you have plants like me then it's different with the depth of the tank.

Well I tried 2 things already and I am not happy with either of them...

Bought a higher wattage bulb... Helped but not enough...
Used tin foil as a reflector.... I think it actually made it dimmer.. LOL!!

So back to the drawing board..

Here's what I plan to do. Buy a glass versa-top. buy another regular 30" strip light and put it in the front and if I want more another one for the back. That will give me more light to grow plants but not too much. If you want a lot you can buy VHO fluorescent or compact fluroscent.
