Lighting for 125G Freshwater Tank

What would be good lighting for a 125G tank? I purchased this tank on Craig's List, but it came with 2 light strips that hold a maximum of 40 watts T12 light. At 0.32 watts per gallon, I doubt I could even grow anubias!

So, what could I purchase that won't break the bank?

Thank you for your suggestions.

Not sure what breaks the bank, but

You could go to a hardware store and check out the fixtures there.

Or, you could go with a made-for-aquarium type.

Here's a link for an ebay store that I got a light from it is great for the price.

Edit: If you have two lights at 40W wouldn't that mean you would have 80W total or 0.64 WPG

Thanks for the info, I'll check it out.

BTW - I have a total of 40W....20W per bulb. You can't tell much difference between lights on and lights off...lol, I never dreamed a 125G tank would have this little lighting!

If you want to grow plants, then only a few plants can survive at that low wattage per gallon. Otherwise it should be fine.

There are no plants that will grow with less than 1/3 watt per gallon.

If you are still shopping you should consider these http://www.ahsupply.com/96watt.htm, that is what I bought for my 120 gallon that also came with two low light fixtures. I found them to be the best bang for the buck unless you just luck out and find something used at a great price. My friend is an electrician so he had them going in about two minutes.
