What kind of lighting for my 30 gallon tank

i bought my tank off a friend recently, but the light that came with it just dont do a good enough job, its really dull and has a pink kind of glow to it? I would like to replace it and im not sure what type of bulb to get, i have live plants and would really like a bulb that shows the beauty of the fish and their colours, any suggestions? xx

Look for a bulb that is rated at 6500K they are typically used as plant lights and should provide a more white light than the pinkish hue.
