Okay so after reading all about WPG, fluoro vs incandescent, t12 vs t8 vs t5 etc I'm totally confused about what kind of performance I should expect on my setup.

I'm running a 4ft T8 shop light only a few inches over the tank with dual 32w 6400k philips 2800 lumens high color rendering fluorescent bulbs.

Should I just calculate this as 1.6 wpg? I made an extra effort to get higher output bulbs than the status quo, so does it still calculate the same? The whole 'lumens' and color temperature thing is greek to me, at least in how it relates to what kind of setup I am planning.

The tank is also going to have ecocomplete with root tabs, I can also dose flourish if I can find some at one of the stores.

I've tossed around the idea of running DIY co2 as well (maybe eventually a real co2 setup, I have connections to source a tank and regulator gauges, I don't know how much more work is involved past that until I study up)

Sounds lime decent wattage. I've only got 36w total on my planted tank and it's growing like crazy. My tank is 29g
