silly question

I know this is a bit of a silly question but I thought I would ask it anyway
My 4foot tank has two floresent tubes and for some reason they both stoped working together my first thought was it was a fuse but after changeing that still nothing I checked the twin starter things but they were well seated and totaly dry. if it was the tubes surely just one would go out and not both at same time?

any help would be great

well if the tubes got wet that could short them both out.... try fiddling with the starters.. sometimes there in a tiny too much or not quiet enough or just loose.... make sure the cord is in (and intact)... if you can't make it work try taking it someplace to get checked, some LFS will help... or try the phone book for florescent lighting company's and give them a call

I would be thinking of a short. Even if it was the starters, one should go before the other. You could always try putting in new starters & a standard tube just to see if it is that or a short of some kind. Should only cost you a few dollars for a standard tube & a twin pack of starters.
