proper lighting

hi
my 56 gallon tank is a high model and the bulb that came with the lighting fixture on the hood did not do it justice and since i have been to the local stores and bought different lights and some improved it but not much so i ended up bringing them back, the light does not seem to shine to deep in the tank or bring out its full beauty.for my 55 gallon long tank i bought a coralight t-5 and that does an awesome job it reallys brings the tank to life.I just cant efford to get another t-5 for my 56 high tank at the moment so i was hopeing somebody would be able to give me the name of a good 24inch bulb for my tank.i hope you can help, thank you.

Good morning. I use 55k full spectrum bulbs. They look really nice and light the tank very well. They can be found at most any pet stores.

For deep tanks (meaning tall tanks) 24 inches high or more, the 100,000K aquarium lights usually do the trick. I placed two of these (among other lights) in my 26"H, 145gal tank.
Check the info in the light cover so you purchase a lamp that the ballast, in terms of wattage (power consumption) can handle.
