| New tank with old bulb Hi fish people, This is my first post even though I have been lurking here for a few months. I have been reading and learning incredible amounts of information about my existing tank (30 Gal Hex) as well as every other possible combination of tank size. My question has to do with a used tank that I just purchased (100 gal rectangle) that is 48 in wide and the fluorescent bulb says:
GE Plant and Aquarium
F40 Pl/AQ
Wide spectrum
My question is: What do I replace this bulb with? (I'm pretty sure it needs changing) I've checked the GE site but I"m having problems finding info. (something about T12, 1900 lumen?) My fixture holds just one bulb but if necessary I can change it out (the fixture I mean or the bulb)
Like I said, new used tank, I just filled it with new water today,(well yesterday now) (I know, prepare tank before adding fish, cycle cycle cycle)and I haven't decided if I will try real plants (first time if I do) Looking for any advice available.
Sorry for the long post, Thanks for any help
Ps. ( I love using brackets )(sorry)(maybe) |
